Satellite Tuner Antenna (R172)

Removing


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

- Lower the back of the headliner.

The satellite tuner antenna has 2 or 4 antenna wires, depending on the vehicle equipment level. These are mounted to the roof crossmember.

- Remove the foam pad - 5 -.






- Unlock and disconnect the connectors - 1 - through - 4 - and free up the antenna wires up to the satellite tuner antenna - 6 -.

- Remove the nut - 2 - and then remove the satellite tuner antenna.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- When inserting roof antenna, ensure that the seal is properly seated. Both guide protrusions of gasket must be seated in the appropriate holes - arrows - in antenna base.






- Make sure the antenna wires - 1 - are routed correctly through the opening in the nut - 2 - after mounting the roof antenna.






Torque specifications: 7 Nm
