1 Lower A-Pillar Trim Panel
2 Operating Lever
• Removing:
- Pull operating lever approx. 2 cm.
- Insert a small screwdriver into gap between operating lever and clip - 3 -.
- Release operating lever and unclip the clip from operating lever (clip falls behind trim).
• Installing:
- Engage clip - 3 - completely in operating lever.
- Press operating lever onto mount in mounting bracket.
- Check function before closing hood.

1 Hood Lock
• Adjusting: within elongated holes
• Removing:
- Flip up clip - 6 -.
- Using a screwdriver - 5 -, press apart clevis arms of release lever - 3 - and remove lever.
- Remove bolts - 7 - and - 8 -.
- Unhook hood release cable - 9 -, disconnect harness connector for micro-switch (only vehicles with anti-theft warning system) - 10 -.
2 Connecting Plate
• Secured to lock carrier using pop rivets. Refer to=> [ Lock Carrier Assembly Overview ] Removal and Replacement

As assisting tool
6 Clip
7 Bolt
• 5 Nm
• When reusing: Clean bolt thread using wire brush and nut thread using tap.
• Coat with locking fluid (D 185 400 A2)
8 Bolt
• 15 Nm
• When reusing: Clean bolt thread using wire brush and nut thread using tap.
• Coat with locking fluid (D 185 400 A2)
