Bleeding with Brake Filler/Bleeder Unit VAS 5234

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Brake filler bleeder unit (VAS 5234)

Venting brake system on vehicles with ABS is done the same as for vehicles with conventional brake systems

- Connect brake filler bleeder unit (VAS 5234).

- Open bleeder screws in the prescribed sequence and bleed brake caliper and wheel brake cylinder.

Bleeding Sequence

1. Left front brake caliper

2. Right front brake caliper

3. Left rear brake caliper

4. Right rear brake caliper

With bleeder bottle hose attached, leave bleeder screws open long enough that brake fluid exits without bubbles.

A road test must be performed after bleeding. At least one ABS controlled braking must be performed!

Change brake fluid=> 14.1

Pre-bleeding the brake system when one chamber of the brake fluid reservoir is completely empty (e.g. due to a leak in brake system).

Bleeding Sequence

1. Bleeding left and right front brake caliper together at the same time

2. Bleeding left and right rear brake caliper together at the same time

- With bleeder bottle hoses attached, leave bleeder screws open long enough that brake fluid exits without bubbles.
