1 to the Expansion Tank Upper Connection

2 Rear Coolant Pipe

4 from the Heater Core

5 to the Heater Core

6 Coolant Line

7 Bolt

10 Nm

8 from the Transmission Oil Cooler

9 Coolant Pipe, Side, Top

10 Bolt

10 Nm

11 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62)

If necessary release the pressure in the cooling system before removing.

12 O-ring

Always Replace.

13 Clip

Make sure it is secure.

14 Bolt

10 Nm

15 to the Radiator Upper Connection

16 from the Auxiliary Cooler

Not installed.

17 to the Auxiliary Cooler

Not installed.

18 from the Radiator Lower Connection

19 Non-Return Valve

Pay attention to the installed position.

The arrow on the check valve points in the direction of flow.

20 Coolant Pipe, Side, Bottom

21 Bolt

25 Nm

22 to the Transmission Oil Cooler

If installed.

23 Recirculation Pump (V55)

Attached to the accessory bracket, 8 Nm

Removing the accessory bracket, refer to => [ Accessory Bracket ] Service and Repair.

Component location of the recirculation pump.

24 Bolt

5 Nm

25 Coolant Thermostat

Starts to open at 80 °C (176 °F).

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Thermostat ] Service and Repair.

26 Coolant Line

With the coolant thermostat housing.

27 Seal

Always replace.

29 Coolant Pump Pulley

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Pump ] Service and Repair.

31 Coolant Pump

Check for ease of movement.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Coolant Pump ] Service and Repair.

Always replace.

Component Location of the Recirculation Pump





The recirculation pump - arrow - is bolted to the accessory bracket.

- Removing the accessory bracket from the cylinder block. Refer to => [ Accessory Bracket ] Service and Repair.
