Front Turn Signals
• Function of front turn signals can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519).
DTC Recognition and Display
The Vehicle Electrical System Control Module is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists in troubleshooting.
The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of the systems as described in => [ Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems ] Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems.
• Illustrations depict removal and installation of left turn signal. Removal of right turn signal is performed symmetrically in the same way.
Removing
- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).
• During removal and installation, leave ignition key with remote control inside the vehicle to prevent the doors from locking and possibly activating the "Coming Home / Leaving Home" functions on its own.
- Remove the bolt - 1 - and unclip cover - 2 - at the retainers - arrows - from the bumper cover.
- Remove mounting bolt - arrow - on underside of turn signal.
- Pull turn signal - 1 - out of bumper cover while paying attention to the lengths of the connected wires.
- Release and disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove the turn signal - 2 -.
Installing
Install in reverse order.
