Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks

Proceed as follows:

- Start engine and let run at idle.

- Briefly seal off the tail pipe (for example, with a rag).

- Have a second technician listen at the connections cylinder head/exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold/front exhaust pipe for leaks.

- Repair detected leaks.
