Front Passenger Door Control Module (J387), Output Diagnostic Test Mode

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS5051B)

• The following system/component checks depend on vehicle equipment level and market version.

The following components and functions can be checked via output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of door control module:

• Activation of front passenger's side switch illumination

• Activation of front passenger's side central locking system (activating)

• Activation of front passenger's side mirror functions (mirror heater and mirror fold-in function)

• Activation of turn signal in front passenger's side mirror (Front Passenger's Exterior Mirror Turn Signal Lamp (L132))

• Activation of front passenger's side ambient light (Front Passenger's Entry Lamp (in outside mirror) (W53))

• Activation of front passenger's side window regulator (driving down)

• Activation of front passenger's side window regulator (driving up)

- Connect the (VAS5051B).

- On the (VAS5051B), select "Guided Fault Finding".

- Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Body repair procedures

• 01 - OBD capable systems

• Front passenger door electronics

• Front passenger door control module functions
