Wireless Ignition Node

Removal


Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this may result in serious or fatal injury.

- Disconnect the battery negative cable.

- Remove the knee blocker.

- Remove the instrument bezel.

- Remove the coaxial electrical cable connector (1) from wireless ignition node (3).






- Remove the electrical connector (2) from wireless ignition node WIN (3).

- Remove the screws (1) from WIN (2) and remove from instrument panel.






Installation

- Install wireless ignition node WIN (2) to instrument panel and install screws (1). Tighten screws to 2.5 Nm (22 in. lbs.).






- Install electrical connector (2) to WIN (3).






- Install coaxial electrical cable connector (1) to WIN (3).

- Install instrument bezel.

- Install knee blocker.

- Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).

- Program the WIN.
