Removing






- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.

- Remove the structural cover to transmission bolts (2).

- Remove the structural cover to engine bolts (1).

- Remove the structural cover (3).

Installing







The structural cover must be installed as described in the following steps. Failure to do so will cause severe damage to the cover.

- Position the structural cover in the vehicle.

- Install the structural cover to engine bolts (1). Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

- Install the structural cover to transmission bolts (2). Do not tighten the bolts at this time.


The structural cover must be held tightly against both the engine and the transmission bellhousing during the tightening sequence. Failure to do so may cause damage to the cover.

- Starting with the structural cover to engine bolts (1), tighten the bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft lbs), then tighten the structural cover to transmission bolts (2) to 54 Nm ( 40 ft lbs).
