Oil Pump

Disassembly






- Remove the oil pump cover screws (2), and remove the cover (5).

- Remove the oil pump rotors (3 and 4).

- Clean and inspect the oil pump components.

Assembly






- Assemble the oil pump, using new parts as required. Install the inner rotor (4) with the chamfer facing the cast iron oil pump cover.

- Prime the oil pump before installation by filling the rotor cavity with engine oil.

- Install the cover (5) and tighten the screws (2) to 12 Nm (106 in lbs).

- If removed, install the oil pressure relief valve. Refer to => [ Oil Pressure Relief Valve ] Service and Repair.
