Engine Oil Pressure Test







- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

- Remove the oil pressure sensor (2) from the oil filter housing (3).







- Install Oil Pressure Gauge (1) to the oil pressure port. Tighten to 20 Nm (177 in. lbs.).

- Install the upper and lower intake manifolds and air inlet hose.

- Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).

- Start and idle the engine. If oil pressure is 0 at idle, shut off the engine and diagnose.

- Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature.

- Verify that the engine has acceptable oil pressure.
