Front Infrared Temperature Sensor

• Take the proper precautions to protect the face of the overhead console from cosmetic damage during this service procedure.

• Typical overhead console shown. Infrared sensor location may vary by model.

Removing

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

- Remove the front overhead console and place it on a workbench.






- Remove the screw (2) that secures the infrared sensor (1) to the back side of the overhead console (3) and remove the sensor.

Installing






- Position the infrared sensor (1) onto the back side of the front overhead console (3). Align the slot on the front of the sensor with the tab on the console.

- Install the screw (2) that secures the infrared sensor to the overhead console. Tighten the screw to 1.2 Nm (10 in lbs).

- Install the front overhead console.

- Connect the negative battery cable.
