Part IV

Transmission

- Install the manual lever, TRS and seal. Refer to => [ Transmission Range Sensor ] Service and Repair.

- Install all six accumulators (1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7) into case along with the accumulator return springs. Refer to => [ Accumulators ] Accumulators, for proper the location.






- Install a NEW 2/4 clutch oil supply seal (4) into the case.

• Lubricate the oil transfer tubes O-rings with transmission oil.

- Install the oil transfer tubes (2) into the case/compounder.






- Install the valve body (1) onto the oil transfer tubes and manual valve (3) at the detent lever.






- Install the valve body bolts (1) and tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (53 in lbs).






- Install the detent spring (2).






- Install the detent spring bolt (3) and tighten the bolt to 6 Nm (53 in lbs).

- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the range sensor (4).

- Install the valve body oil pan, using a bead of RTV sealant.






- Install the valve body oil pan bolts and tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (53 in lbs).

- Install the pressure tap plug (2) to valve body oil pan and tighten the plug to 6 Nm (53 in lbs).






- Install the transmission fluid filter seal (1) into the case.






- Install the transmission fluid filter (2).






- Install the transmission fluid filter nuts (1) and tighten the nuts to 5 Nm (44 in lbs).

- Install the transmission fluid filter oil pan (2), use a bead of RTV sealant.






- Install the transmission fluid filter oil pan bolts (1) and tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (53 in lbs).

- Install the front sound dampener cover (2) and bolts (1).






- Install the speed sensors (1 and 2) and the transfer shaft sensor (3) and tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (106 in lbs).






- Install the front sound dampener cover (1).
