Left Power Sliding Door Module
B2273 - Power Sliding Door Module Identification Circuit
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• This code can set if a module from another vehicle was installed that had originally been from the opposite side (Left/Right side). This test is for a Left side module.
• When Monitored: Whenever the battery is connected.
• Set Condition: When the Left (Driver side) Power Sliding Door Module looses the Left Side Identifier Jumper (ground) circuit, for over one second, this code will set.
Test Step 1 - DTC PRESENT
• With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
• Cycle the ignition switch from On to Off.
• Wait 30 seconds.
• Turn the ignition on.
• With the scan tool, read the DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC?
No
• Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
Test Step 2 - (D85) LEFT (DRIVER) SIDE IDENTIFIER JUMPER OPEN
• At this time it may be necessary to remove the Power Sliding Door Drive Unit Assembly from the vehicle.
• Turn the ignition off.
• Gain access to and disconnect the Left Power Sliding Door Module 6 way connector. See Service Information for removal procedure if necessary.
• Measure the resistance of the (D85) Left Side Identifier Jumper (between cavities 1 and 4 in the harness connector).
Is the resistance below 1.0 Ohm?
No
• Repair or replace the Left Power Sliding Door Harness.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Yes
• Go to Test Step 3
Test Step 3 - GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
• Turn the ignition on.
• Using a 12 volt test light connected to 12 volts, test the (Z908) Ground circuit in the module connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
• Replace the Left Power Sliding Door Module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Repair or replace the Left Power Sliding Door Harness for an open ground.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
