Right Power Sliding Door Module






B2273 - Power Sliding Door Module Identification Circuit

When Monitored: Whenever the left power sliding door module is awake.

Set Condition: When the scan tool cannot identify the left power sliding door module from the right power sliding door module, this code will set.






Test Step 1 - Check For DTCs

With the scan tool, record DTCs and any power sliding door inhibitors.

Erase the DTCs.

Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.

Attempt to operate the left power sliding door.

With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

If the scan tool displays the B198E, B198F, B1991 or B1992 DTC, repair any of those DTCs before proceeding.

Does the scan tool display B2273 - Power Sliding Door Module Identification Circuit?

Yes

Go to Test Step 2

No

Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.

Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics.

Test Step 2 - Check the Left Power Sliding Door Module Connector and Harness






Turn the ignition OFF.

Remove the power sliding door drive unit assembly from the vehicle.

Disconnect the left power sliding door module 6 way connector.

Check the left power sliding door module 6 way connector and harness for proper terminal contact, corrosion, or pinched or broken wires.

Is the Left Power Sliding Door Module 6 Way Connector and Harness OK?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3

No

Repair the left power sliding door module 6 way connector or harness as necessary.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to=> Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 3 - Check the Left Power Sliding Door Select Jumper Circuit for an Open






Measure the resistance of the left power sliding door select jumper circuit in the left power sliding door module 6 way connector harness connector.

This jumper is to identify the module that it is on the left side of the vehicle.

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes

Replace the left power sliding door module.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

Replace the left power sliding door jumper harness.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
