The special tool 997 is used to isolate the antenna system to diagnose the cause of poor AM/FM radio reception.

- Using special tool 9977 replace the instrument panel cable and antenna mast. Test the radio reception. If OK go to next step. If not OK replace the radio.

- Using special tool replace the antenna mast and test the radio reception. If OK replace the antenna.

- Using the special tool replace the instrument panel cable and test the radio reception. If OK replace the instrument panel cable.
