Timing Verification






Remove the front timing belt covers. Rotate the crankshaft until the crankshaft sprocket (10) timing mark aligns with the top dead center cylinder timing mark on the oil pump (9). Check to determine if the camshaft sprocket (2 and 7) timing marks (1 and 8) are aligned with the timing marks on the inner timing cover. It may take an additional full revolution of the crankshaft before the camshaft sprocket marks are aligned.
