Exhaust Heat Shields

Removing






- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.

- Remove the applicable heat shield bolts (1, 3 and 6).

- Remove the applicable heat shield (2, 4, and 5).

Installing






- Position the applicable heat shield (2, 4, and 6) to the underbody.

- Install the applicable heat shield bolts (1, 3, and 6). Tighten the bolts to 2.6 Nm (23 in lbs).

- Lower the vehicle.

- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair the exhaust leaks as necessary.

- Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, as needed.
