EVAP Purge Solenoid

Removing

- Remove the air cleaner housing cover in order to gain access to the evaporative emission purge solenoid.

- Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector (1) from EVAP purge solenoid (5).






- Remove the EVAP purge hose (2) from the EVAP purge solenoid.

- Disconnect the fuel tank vapor line quick connect fitting (4) from the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to => [ Quick Connect Fitting Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the EVAP purge solenoid nut (3) and evaporator purge solenoid (5).

- Remove the EVAP purge solenoid (5).

Installing






- Install the evaporator purge solenoid (5) and nut (3). Tighten the nut to 10 Nm (89 in lbs).

- Connect the fuel tank vapor line quick connect fitting (4) to the EVAP purge solenoid. Refer to => [ Quick Connect Fitting Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Install the EVAP purge hose (2) to EVAP purge solenoid. Make sure the plastic clip for the purge hose (2) is connected.

- Connect the wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the EVAP purge solenoid.

- Install the air cleaner housing cover.
