Four-Way Electric Lumbar Support

Removing

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat

- Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the front seat belt latch. Refer to => [ Front Seat Belt Latches ] Front Seat Belt Latches

- Remove the trim on the tunnel side. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] Tunnel Side Trim

- Remove the trim on the door sill side. Refer to => [ Door Sill Side Trim ] Door Sill Side Trim

- Disconnect the two harness connectors for the backrest drives underneath the seat frame. Remove the harness connectors from the seat frame.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest

- Attach the backrest to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the backrest and folding table, if equipped. Refer to => [ Backrest Folding Table ] Backrest Folding Table

- Remove cover and upholstery from front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Front Seat Backrest Cover and Upholstery ] Front Seat Backrest Cover and Upholstery

- Remove the wiring harnesses from the lumbar support motors.

- Drill out the rivet - 1 - on the back side of the backrest.

- Remove the lumbar support - 2 - from the backrest frame.

- Remove the lumbar support - 2 - from both brackets - 3 - and - 4 - in the upper front area of the backrest frame.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

Use Pop Rivet Pliers (VAS 5072) to install rivet.
