Heating Components Overview

Disconnect the battery before removing components marked with a **.






1 Dash Panel **

2 Center Vents

Removing vents, refer to => [ Center Vent ] Center Vent.

3 Passenger Vent

Removing vents, refer to => [ Driver or Passenger Vents ] Driver or Passenger Vents.

4 Fresh Air and Heated Air Controls

With Fresh air/recirculating door switch (E159).

Also with Immediate heating button (E537) in vehicles with an auxiliary heater.

Removing controls, refer to => [ Heat and Fresh Air Controls ] Heat and Fresh Air Controls.

On vehicles with heated seats also with Heated driver seat adjuster (E94) and Heated front passenger seat adjuster (E95).

5 Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor (V154)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor (V154) ] Fresh/Recirculating Air Door Motor (V154).

6 Right Footwell Vent

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Footwell Vent ] Right Footwell Vent.

7 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower (V2) ] Service and Repair.

8 Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor With Fuse (N24)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor With Fuse (N24) ] Service and Repair.

9 Heater Partition

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heater Partition ] Heater Partition.

10 Sealing Caps

Only in vehicles without air duct to vent installed in center console at rear.

11 Air Guide

Disassemble the center console in order to remove it. Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

12 Dust and Pollen Filter

With EVAP canister.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] .

13 Connection

For the center console air duct.

Disassemble the center console in order to remove it. Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

14 Air Outlet Grille

Depending on vehicle equipment.

15 Rear Channel For Right Footwell

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Footwell Channel ] Rear Footwell Channel.

16 Rear Channel For Left Footwell

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Rear Footwell Channel ] Rear Footwell Channel.

17 Screw

Quantity: 8

18 Adapter For Controls

19 Heater Core

Replace all the coolant after replacing the heater core.

20 Left Footwell Vent

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Footwell Vent ] Left Footwell Vent.

21 Bowden Cable For Temperature Door

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Temperature Door Release Cable ] Service and Repair.

22 Flexible Shaft

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Flexible Air Distribution Shaft ] Flexible Air Distribution Shaft.

23 Heater Unit

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heater Unit ] Heater Unit.

Disassembling and assembling, refer to => [ Heater Unit ] Heater Unit.

Installation Position Of Seal For Heater and Engine Compartment





- First insert the seal into the plenum chamber bulkhead between the heater and engine compartment - A - and then place on the heater core.

To prevent water from entering vehicle interior, note the installation position.
