Generator on a vehicle with the Start/Stop System:

Up to now, the generator and the voltage regulator were connected to the engine- and vehicle electrical system control module by a single cable. If the vehicle has the Start/Stop System, the information is transmitted to the data bus diagnosis interface via the LIN data bus. The data bus diagnosis interface then sends the information to the other control modules, such as the engine control module, via the CAN data bus.
