Input Shaft Overview

Disassembly and assembly, refer to => [ Input Shaft ] Input Shaft.

• Install all input shaft bearings with transmission fluid.

• Always replace the grooved ball bearing - 16 -.






1 Clutch Housing

2 Roller Bearing

• Removing, refer to => [ Remove the Seal and Remove the Roller
Bearing from the Clutch Housing ] Input Shaft.

• Installing, refer to => [ Pressing the Roller Bearing into the
Clutch Housing ] Input Shaft.

• Replace together with the inner race/roller bearing - 5 -.

3 Locking Ring

• Install in the circumferential groove in the clutch housing.

4 Locking Ring

• Secures the inner race/roller bearing.

5 Inner Race/Roller Bearing

• Removing, refer to => [ Remove the Roller Bearing Inner Race. ] Input Shaft.

• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Roller Bearing Inner
Race ] Input Shaft.

• Replace together with the roller bearing - 2 -.

6 4th Gear

• Removing, refer to => [ Removing the 4th Gear ] Input Shaft.

• Installing, refer to => [ installing the 4th Gear ] Input Shaft.

7 Input Shaft

8 Needle Bearing

• For 5th gear.

9 5th Gear

10 5th Gear Synchronizer Ring

• Checking for wear, refer to => [ Checking the 5th and 6th Gear Synchronizer
Rings for Wear ] Input Shaft.

11 Locking Collar with Synchronizer Hub for 5th and 6th Gears

• After removing the locking ring, remove the 5th gear wheel, refer to => [ Removing the Synchronizer Hub/Locking
Collar for 5th and 6th Gear with Selector Gear for 6th Gear ] Input Shaft.

• Disassembling, refer to => [ Disassembling and Assembling the Locking
Collar and Synchronizer Hub for 5th and 6th Gears ] Input Shaft.

• Assembling locking collar/synchronizer hub, refer to => [ Assembling the Locking Collar/Synchronizer
Hub for 5th and 6th Gears ] Input Shaft.

• Installed position, refer to => [ Installed Position: Locking Collar/5th
and 6th Gear Synchronizer Hub ] Input Shaft.

• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Locking Collar/Synchronizer

12 Locking Ring

13 Needle Bearing

• For 6th gear

15 6th Gear

16 Grooved Ball Bearing

• Always replace

• After removing the circlip, remove the 6th gear wheel. Refer to => [ Remove the Seal and Remove the Grooved
Ball Bearing with the 6th Gear ] Input Shaft.

• Installed position, refer to => [ Grooved ball bearing installed position:
the groove for the seal points upward and
the shoulder must point to the 6th gear. ] Input Shaft.

• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Grooved Ball Bearing ] Input Shaft.
