Radio Navigation System, Activating Anti-Theft Coding
Radio Navigation System, Activating Anti-Theft Coding
The anti-theft coding electronically prohibits unauthorized individuals from starting the unit again after it has been removed. This anti-theft code is also called the radio code of security code. Security code means that every unit with anti-theft coding has been programmed with its own code. This security code is not active from the factory. If a device card is available, the security code is on it. If the device card is not available, the security code can be requested from the central database using the Vehicle Diagnosis Tester. Refer to=> [ Radio Code, Requesting with Vehicle Diagnosis Tester ] Radio Code, Requesting with Vehicle Diagnosis Tester.
• If an incorrect code number is entered while canceling the electronic lock, the entire procedure may be repeated one time. If an incorrect code number is entered again, the unit will lock up for about one hour. The unit may not be removed. After one hour with the unit still switched on, the display will go out. The electronic lock can be cancelled as previously described. The cycle - two attempts, one hour locked, applies.
