Ignition Key Removal Lock Solenoid (N376)
The ignition switch key lock solenoid must be mounted next to the ignition switch.
• To remove ignition key in vehicles with automatic transmission, always shift selector lever into position "P" and then switch off ignition. Otherwise, ignition switch key lock solenoid prevents the key from being removed!
Removing
- Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527). Refer to => [ Steering Column Electronics Control Module (J527) ] Steering Column Electronics Control Module (J527).
- Release locking device - 2 - using a suitable screwdriver.
- Pull ignition key removal lock solenoid - 1 - in direction of arrow out of its mount.
- During this, harness connector is simultaneously disconnected.
Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
• To activate the ignition switch key lock solenoid (N376) after connecting the battery, perform an output DTM on the Steering column electronic systems control module (J527).
