Switch Module Driver Side

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

Depending on equipment level, the following components are integrated with the driver door switch module:

• Mirror Adjustment Switch (E43)

• Mirror Selector Switch (E48)

• Outside Mirror Heating Switch (E231)

• Mirror Adjustment Switch Illumination (L78)

• Mirror Folding Switch (E263)

• Left Front Window Regulator Switch (E40)

• Driver Left Rear Window Regulator Switch (E53)

• Driver Right Rear Window Regulator Switch (E55)

• Driver Right Front Window Regulator Switch (E81)

• Child Safety Button (E318)

• Indicator lamp for activated child safety (K236)

• Push Button Illumination (L76)

• Central Locking -SAFE- Indicator Lamp (K133)

• The components listed above cannot be replaced separately.

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

- Remove the door trim.

- Release the retaining tabs - arrows - and pull the Central Locking SAFE Indicator Lamp - 1 - out of its installation position.






- Release the retaining tabs - arrows - and push the driver side switch module out of the door trim panel beginning on the right side.






- Slightly lift the driver side switch module upward - arrow A - and then pull it in the - direction of the arrow - out of the door trim panel.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
