Footwell Lamps

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• Release Lever (T10039)


When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

• The front foot well lights are located in trim beneath instrument cluster.

• The rear foot well lights are installed at rear in center of front seats.

• Removal and installation for all foot well lights is performed in the same way and is only described for one light.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Carefully pry out foot well lights using a screwdriver.






- Release the connector and disconnect it.

Bulb, Replacing

- Disengage retaining tabs - 1 - and remove heat shield - 2 - from diffusion lens of foot well light.






- Carefully pry bulb from socket.






• Only glass socket lamps 12 V, 3W must be installed, even when glass socket lamps 12V, 5W were previously installed.

- Replace bulb (12V, 3 W).

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
