Power Steering, Checking Fluid Level
Cold Fluid
- With engine not running, move front wheels in straight-ahead position.
- Remove reservoir cap - arrow - with dipstick.
- Clean dipstick with clean cloth.
- Screw cap on hand-tight and remove again.
CAUTION!
Screw cap fully in to get an accurate fluid level reading.
- Check fluid level: Fluid level must be in area of MIN mark (up to 2 mm above or below mark).
• If fluid level is above specified range, fluid must be siphoned off.
• If the fluid level is below the specified level, check the power steering system for leaks. It is not sufficient just to add fluid.
• If no leaks are detected, top off with power steering fluid "G 002 000".
- Screw in cap hand tight.
