Fastener Tightening Specifications






• 1 Always replace

• 2 Lubricate the bolt with hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog

• 3 Lubricate the studs of the exhaust manifold with hot bolt paste; refer to the Parts Catalog

Turbocharger Nut Tightening Sequence and Specification






- Tighten the nuts in 4 passes in sequence - 1 through 5 - as follows:

• First pass, tighten the nuts to 5 Nm.

• Second pass, tighten the nuts to 12 Nm.

• Third pass, tighten the nuts to 16 Nm.

• Final pass, tighten the nuts to 25 Nm.
