Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module J706

Removing

- Attach the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) to the engine/transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the front seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat.

- Secure the seat on the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).






- Disconnect the connectors - 4 - and - 5 - from the passenger occupant detection system control module (J706) - 1 -, refer to Front Seat Passenger Occupant Detection System Pressure Sensor G452 Assembly Overview, Sport.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the passenger occupant detection system control module (J706) - 1 - from the bracket - 3 - in - direction of arrow -.

Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

• If the passenger occupant detection system control module (J706) is replaced, then perform a basic setting/coding using the Vehicle diagnostic tester in the "Guided Fault Finding". Refer to => [ Components, Adapting ] Components, Adapting.
