Front Door Window Motor: Service and Repair

Window Regulator Motor

• Removing and installing the left window regulator motor is described here. Removing and installing the right window regulator motor is identical.

Removing






- Remove the front door trim.

- Secure the door window to prevent it from falling down.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 -.

- Remove three bolts - 3 -.

- Remove the window regulator motor - 1 - from the mounts of the cable reel.

Installation

It is necessary to code/adapt the additional functions and pinch protection each time a new window regulator motor (door control module) is installed.






- Install the window regulator motor - 1 - on the mounts in the cable reel. Gently move the door window up and down so that the splines between the window regulator motor and the cable reel can mesh.

- Install the three bolts - 3 -.

Tightening specification - 3 -: 3 Nm

- Connect the connector - 2 -.

- A new window regulator motor must be coded/adapted via the "Guided Functions". Refer to Vehicle diagnostic tester.

Install in reverse order of removal.
