Antenna Systems

The antenna on the MY 2012 Beetle are integrated inside the rear side windows and roof antenna.

The antenna system consists of the following parts:

• Right antenna module (R109) (AM/FM) on the right side of the rear window (rear lid)

• Left antenna module (R108) (FM2/DAB) on the left side of the rear window (rear lid)

• Left antenna module (R108) (FM2) on the left side of the rear window (rear lid)

• Option Satellite tuner antenna (R172) (SAT) inside the roof antenna

• Option Navigation system antenna (R50) (GPS) inside the roof antenna

• Option Telephone antenna (R65) (GSM) inside the roof antenna

The antenna system with diversity function serves to improve and optimize the reception quality in the vehicle.

• Familiarity with the function and operation of the radio/RNS (Radio Navigation System) is essential in the event of customer concerns. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

• Use the Vehicle diagnostic tester for servicing or Fault Finding.

• Check the radio, clock and Convenience System after the battery has been connected. Refer to and the Owner's Manual.
