Anti-Friction Film

Installation Instructions

• Warm the anti-friction film before removing with a (V.A.G 1416).

• If removing or installing the anti-friction film, only use the remaining adhesive to install and the adhesive remover to remove the adhesive residue. Refer to parts catalog.

• Make sure there is no dust or grease on the adhesive surfaces.

• Apply the anti-friction film immediately after cleaning.

• Remove off the peel-off backing just before installing the anti-friction film.

• The temperature must be approximately 70°F (21 °C).

• The illustration shows a left door hinge. The right door hinge is identical.






1 Anti-friction film

• Damaged by installing

• Removing:

- Remove the rear fender, refer to => [ Rear Fender ] Rear Fender.

- Warm the anti-friction film with the hot air blower (V.A.G 1416) and remove it from the side panel - 2 -.

• installing

- Follow the installation instructions.

- Remove the protective backing from the new anti-friction film.

- Position the anti-friction film and apply it to the side panel - 2 -.

- Install the rear fender. Refer to => [ Rear Fender ] Rear Fender.
