1 Instrument Panel

• Air guide channel installed under the instrument panel.

2 Defrost Air Vent

• The defrost air vent can not be removed and installed because it is a structural component for the instrument panel.

3 Center Air Vent

• Air vent overview, refer to => [ Air Vent Overview ] Air Vent Overview.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Center Air Vent ] Center Air Vent.

4 Front Heat and Fresh Air Controls

• Two-piece version.

• Rear heat controls, refer to item 16 => [ (Item 16) Rear Heat and Fresh Air Controls ].

• With Fresh Air Blower Switch (E9).

• With Fresh Air/Recirculating Door Switch (E159).

• Also with Immediate Heating Button (E537) in vehicles with auxiliary heater.

• Depending on the vehicle equipment level, with seat heating/ventilation adjuster (E399).

5 Recirculation Door Motor (V113)

6 Fresh Air Blower (V2)

7 Fresh Air Blower Series Resistor With Fuse (N24)

8 Heating and A/C unit

9 Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent

10 Dust and Pollen Filter

• With activated charcoal insert.

11 Footwell Trim Panel For The Front Passenger Side

12 Sealing Caps

• Only for vehicles without air duct/air vent installed in the rear center console.

13 Right Rear Vent Air Guide Channel

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Air Vent Air Guide Channel ] Front Air Vent Air Guide Channel.

14 Left Rear Vent Air Guide Channel

15 Securing Bolts

• Tightening specification: 1.5 Nm

• Quantity: 8

• Varying lengths.

16 Rear Heat and Fresh Air Controls

17 Driver Side Footwell Vent

18 Auxiliary Heater Heating Element (Z35)

• Only installed on vehicles with Diesel engine without auxiliary water heater.

19 Bowden Cable For Temperature Door

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Temperature Door Release Cable ] Service and Repair.

20 Flexible Shaft

• Controls the air distribution to the individual air vents.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Flexible Air Distribution Shaft ] Service and Repair.

21 Heater Core

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Heater Core ] Service and Repair.

• After replacing heater core, replace all the coolant.

22 Side Vent

• The air distribution is activated using the intermediate piece for the air vent, refer to item 11 => [ (Item 11) Intermediate Piece For The Instrument Panel Air Vent ] Air Vent Overview.

23 Side Window Air Vent
