1 Dual Mass Flywheel
• Removing and installing.
• Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.
• Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
• Follow the removal procedure, refer to => [ Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing ].
2 Clutch Disc
• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.
• Only replace together with the SAC pressure plate.
• Installed position, refer to => [ Clutch Disc Installed Position ] Clutch, LuK.
3 SAC Pressure Plate
• SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"
• Only replace together with the clutch disc.
• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.
• Checking the ends of the diaphragm spring. Refer to => [ Checking the Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK.
• Checking the spring and rivet connections. Refer to => [ Checking the Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK.
• Only check the position of the adjustment mechanism with a new pressure plate. Refer to => [ Only check the position of the adjustment mechanism with a new pressure plate. ] Clutch, LuK.
4 Bolt
• M6 - 13 Nm
• M7 - 20 Nm
• Quantity: 6
• Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
Dual Mass Flywheel, Removing
• To prevent damage to the dual mass flywheel when removing, the bolts - B - must not be loosened using an air powered or impact wrench. loosen and remove the bolts - B - by hand only.
- Rotate the flywheel - A - until the bolts - B - line up with the holes - arrows -.
- Make sure the bolt heads - B - do not touch the flywheel - arrows - when removing them otherwise the flywheel will damage them.
