1 Dual Mass Flywheel
• Removing and installing.
• Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.
• Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.
• Follow the removal procedure, refer to => [ Dual Mass Flywheel, Removal ].
2 Clutch Disc
• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, Sachs ] Clutch, Sachs.
• Only replace together with the pressure plate.
• Installed position, refer to => [ Clutch Plate Installed Position ] Clutch, Sachs.
3 Pressure Plate
• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.
• With an adjustment mechanism.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, Sachs ] Clutch, Sachs.
• Checking the ends of the diaphragm spring. Refer to => [ Checking the Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, Sachs.
• Checking the spring and rivet connections. Refer to => [ Checking the Spring and Rivet Connections ] Clutch, Sachs.
• Only replace together with the clutch disc.
4 Bolt
• M6 - 13 Nm
• M7 - 20 Nm
• Quantity: 6
• Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
How to Recognize a Sachs Self Adjusting Clutch
• Pressure plate with stop (position sensor) - arrow -.
Dual Mass Flywheel, Removal
• To prevent damage to the dual mass flywheel when removing, the bolts - B - must not be loosened using an air powered or impact wrench. Loosen and remove the bolts by hand only.
- Rotate the dual mass flywheel - A - until the bolts are centered in the holes - arrows -.
- Make sure the bolt heads - B - do not touch the flywheel - arrows - when removing them otherwise the flywheel will damage them.
