Removing

• The removal and installation procedure describes the left subframe. The procedure is the same for the right subframe.

The window regulator motor and speaker are attached to the subframe of the Passat CC.

The door lock and window regulator can be removed separately. They are attached to the door.






- Remove the front door trim panel..

- Read the information and work procedures for the crash sensors for vehicles with side airbags.

- Release the retainer for the protective casing - arrow a - and remove the protective casing - 5 -.

- Open the A-pillar locking mechanism - 3 - by bending it downward - arrow b - and disconnect the connector.

- Remove the bolts for the window regulator motor - 8 -.

- Disconnect the connectors from the window regulator motor.

- Remove the bolts - 6 - from under the speaker.

- Open the clips - 7 - by rotating them 90° to the left - arrow c -.

- Guide the wire - 4 - through the door.

- Remove the subframe - 1 - from the door and guide the cable - 5 - and the wire - 9 - for the door lock through the opening.

Installation






- Guide the wire - 8 - through the door.

- Guide the cable - 6 - and the door lock wire - 3 - through the opening. Lean the subframe - 1 - against the door - 4 -.

- Open the clips - 2 - by rotating them 90° to the right - arrow a -.

- Install the bolts - 10 - under the speaker to the tightening specification: 0.8 Nm.

- Secure all of the connections.
