Lock Cylinder

Removing

Only the driver door still has a lock cylinder.

Removal and installation are described only for the left lock cylinder housing. The procedure for the right lock cylinder housing is derived accordingly from this.






Cover cap for lock cylinder housing has been removed. Refer to => [ Door Handle ] Door Handle

- Remove the covers - 4 and 6 -.

- Remove the screw - 5 -.

- Pull out the door handle - 2 - until it stops and remove the bolt - 7 - until the lock cylinder housing - 1 - is able to be removed.

- Remove the lock cylinder housing - 1 - at a right angle - arrow - to the door from the door handle bracket - 3 -.

Door handle remains standing in pulled-out position. Do not attempt to press door handle in, otherwise the retaining tab on the mounting bracket breaks off and a removed door handle can no longer be installed.

Installation






In pulled-out position - arrow -, door handle must stand off from door.

- Guide the lock cylinder housing - 3 - into the bracket at a right angle.

- Install the bolt - 3 - into the bracket.

Door handle - 1 - swings automatically on to door.

The lock cylinder housing must be pressed onto the outer door panel while installing.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Then, always perform a function test with door opened.
