Clutch Overview, LuK






1 Dual Mass Flywheel

• Removing and Installing, refer to one of the following:

Gas engines

Diesel engines

• Make sure it fits securely on the centering pins.

• Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.

2 Clutch Plate

• Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Only replace together with the SAC pressure plate.

• Installed position, refer to => [ Clutch Plate Installed Position ] Clutch, LuK.

3 SAC Pressure Plate

• SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"

• Only replace together with the clutch disc.

• Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Check the ends of the diaphragm spring. Refer to => [ Checking the Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK.

• Check the spring and rivet connections. Refer to => [ Checking the Spring and Rivet Connections ] Clutch, LuK.

• Approximately from 05.11: Release bearing with an additional plastic washer. Refer to => [ Approximately from 05.11: Release Bearing with an Additional Plastic Washer ] Description and Operation, and an adapted pressure plate, refer to => [ Only for Release Bearings with an Additional Plastic Washer: Pressure Plate Diaphragm Spring () with a Slightly Lower Installed Height ] Description and Operation.

4 Bolt

• M6: 13 Nm

• M7: 20 Nm

• Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
