Control Cables

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

• Screws are microencapsulated and must always be replaced after removing.

• Always replace the control cables in pairs.






- Sunroof Glass Panel, Removing

- Remove drive motor for sunroof. Refer to => [ Panorama Sunroof Glass Panel Drive ] Panorama Sunroof Glass Panel Drive.

- Remove slotted guide rail. Refer to => [ Slotted Guide Rail ] Slotted Guide Rail.

- Remove the bolts - 3 -.

- Remove the retainer - 1 - - in direction of arrow a - and the guide rails - 2 - - in direction of arrow b -.

- Remove the sliding block - 6 - - arrow c -.

- Remove the cable - 4 - from the guide tubes - 5 - - arrow d -.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Install the slotted guide rail guide, refer to => [ Slotted Guide Rail ] Slotted Guide Rail.
