Steering Gear Overview

Currently, there is no service work to be performed on the steering gear.






1 Right Tie Rod End

Identified with "A". Refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod End ] Tie Rod End.

Checking.

Installed position, refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod End.

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

2 Nut

70 Nm

3 Clamp

4 Boot

Must not be twisted after the toe is adjusted.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Boot ] Boot.

5 Clamp

Always replace.

6 Tie Rod

100 Nm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod ] Tie Rod.

7 Long Bonded Rubber Bushing

Left, rear with centering.

Replacing, refer to => [ Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing.

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

8 Steering Gear

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Steering Gear ] Steering Gear.

9 Long Bonded Rubber Bushing

Right rear.

Replacing, refer to => [ Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing.

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

10 Short Bonded Rubber Bushing

Left and right front.

Replacing, refer to => [ Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing ] Steering Gear Bonded Rubber Bushing.

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

11 Plate

12 Left Tie Rod End

Identified with a "B". Refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod End.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod End ] Tie Rod End.

Checking.

Installed position, refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod End.

Allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.

Checking Play, Security and Tie Rod End Boots

- With the vehicle raised (wheels hanging free), check the play by moving the tie rods and wheels. Play: Zero play

- Check the attachments

- Check that the boots are not damaged and are seated correctly.
