Interior Monitoring and Vehicle Inclination Deactivation Button (E616)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trims, etc.), use commercially available adhesive tape to mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned.

• To remove the interior monitoring and vehicle inclination deactivation button, the anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated.

• The interior monitoring and vehicle inclination deactivation button is located in the driver door trim storage compartment.

Removal

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

- Use the (VAS 3409) or a suitable screwdriver to carefully pry the interior monitoring and vehicle inclination deactivation button out of the door trim.






- Disconnect the connector - arrow -.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
