Rear Lid Catch with Closing Aid Motor, Adjusting

• When closing, the rear lid must lock completely without further applied force and must have no play.

• Rear lid must not be pushed to side when adjusting the rear lid catch.

• The rear lid catch is adjusted correctly when lid lock cut-out engages with detent centered on the catch.

• The rear lid catch with closing aid may only be adjusted in bottom position, "Rear lid closed".

• The new part is delivered in "Rear lid closed" position.

- Open rear lid and unlock rear lid lock with a screwdriver.

The closing aid runs in "Rear lid closed" condition - 4 -.






- Remove connector - 5 - on closing aid.

- Loosen the rear lid catch - 2 - by removing screws - 1 - on rear lock carrier.

- The rear lid catch - 2 - can slide horizontally and vertically - arrows - after the bolts - 1 - are removed.

- After adjusting, tighten screws - 1 - on rear lid catch - 2 -, secure connector and open rear lid lock.

Screw tightening specification - 2 -: 20 Nm.
