Halogen Headlamps

• Always switch off headlamps and remove ignition key before working on headlamps.

• Prior to working on the headlamps, place the ignition key of the radio remote control in the passenger compartment of the vehicle to prevent locking of the doors and automatic activation of the "Coming Home/Leaving Home" functions if applicable.

• Familiarity with the function and operation of the lighting system is essential in the event of customer complaints.

Malfunction Recognition and Display

The Vehicle electrical system control module (J519) is equipped with OBD capabilities which facilitate fault finding for the headlamps.

For fault finding, use the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B) in the "Guided fault finding" operating mode.
