Output Diagnostic Test - Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS 5051B)

• It depends on the vehicle equipment whether the components listed below can be checked.

The following components and functions can be checked using the output diagnostic test mode of the vehicle electrical system control module:

• Left side marker lamp bulb (M1) and right side marker lamp bulb (M3)

• Left tail lamp bulb (M4) and right tail lamp bulb (M2)

• Left low beam headlamp bulb (M29) and right low beam headlamp bulb (M31)

• Left high beam headlamp bulb (M30) and right high beam headlamp bulb (M32)

• Left low beam headlamp reflector motor (V294) and right low beam headlamp reflector motor (V295)

• Left front fog lamp bulb (L22) and right front fog lamp bulb (L23)

• Right back-up lamp bulb (M17) and left back-up lamp bulb (M16)

• Left brake lamp bulb (M9) and right brake lamp bulb (M10)

• High-mounted brake lamp bulb (M25)

• Left rear fog lamp bulb (L46) and right rear fog lamp bulb (L47)

• License plate lamp (X)

• Left front turn signal bulb (M5) and left rear turn signal bulb (M6)

• Right front turn signal bulb (M7) and right rear turn signal bulb (M8)

• Left daytime running lamp bulb (L174) and right daytime running lamp bulb (L175)

• Footwell lamps

• Ignition/starter switch (D)

• Light switch (E1)

• Brake lamp switch (F)

• Instrument panel and switch illumination dimmer switch (E20)

• Driver interior locking button (E308)

• Fuel filler door unlock motor (V155)

• Rear lid lock unit (F256) and central locking lock module in rear lid (F327)

• Rear lid central locking system motor (V53)

• Emergency flasher button (E229) and emergency flasher indicator lamp (K6)

• Rear window defogger button (E230) and rear window defogger indicator lamp (K10)

• Rear window defogger (Z1) and rear window defogger relay (J9)

• Windshield defogger switch (E180) and windshield defogger indicator lamp (K122)

• Windshield defogger (Z2) and windshield defroster relay (J47)

• Rain/light recognition sensor (G397)

• Access/start authorization control module (J518) and access/start authorization button (E408)

• Vehicle electrical system control module (J519)

• Front passenger windshield wiper motor (V217) and driver windshield wiper motor (V216)

• Fuel pump relay (J17)

• Headlamp washer relay (J39)

• Signal horn and dual tone horn (H1)

• Dual tone horn relay (J4) and horn relay (J413)

• Interior monitoring and vehicle inclination deactivation button (E616)

• Interior monitoring and vehicle inclination deactivation indicator lamp (K248)

• Anti-theft alarm system sensor (G578) and alarm horn (H12)

- Connect the (VAS 5051B).

- On the (VAS 5051B) , select "Guided fault finding".

- Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems

• Vehicle electrical system control module in the BCM

• Functions

• Vehicle electrical system control module output diagnostic test
