Access/Start Authorization Antenna 2 In Vehicle Interior (R139)

Access/Start Authorization Antenna 2 In Vehicle Interior (R139)

The access/start authorization antenna 2 in vehicle interior is adhered to the luggage compartment floor between the two rear seats.

No coding, basic setting or adaptation is necessary if the access/start authorization antenna 2 in vehicle interior is replaced. Erase the entry in the DTC memory in "Guided Fault Finding" with the Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B).

Removal

The alignment and exact position of the antennas are crucial for their function. Prior to removal of the antenna, mark the exact location and alignment and reattach the antenna with this exact position and alignment during installation. The thickness of the adhesive pads on the antenna is an integral part of function. If the antenna adhesive detaches, do not use commercially available adhesive to re-adhere the antenna. Instead, install a new antenna with a new adhesive pad. If this is not done, the KESSY system will malfunction.
