Procedure Description
Press the power top operation switch (E137). All four windows go down.
The glass panel - 1 - begins opening - arrow - via the electric drive motor - 2 - only after all the windows have lowered completely.
The hydraulic cylinder - 5 - in the mounting carrier moves all 4 locking mechanisms. The locking mechanisms - 4 and 6 - on the mounting carrier to the side panel are opened. The locking mechanism - 7 - on the mounting carrier to the rear window frame opens. The locking mechanism - 3 - on the mounting carrier to the rear lid closes.
Hydraulic cylinder - 4 - in roof pillar opens locking mechanism - 3 - to upper rear window frame, rear window frame - 1 - swings up - arrow - and rests on roof center section, and finally locking mechanism - 6 - to windshield frame opens.
The closing aid moves upward and the rear lid lock - 2 - opens.
Hydraulic cylinder - 3 - swings hinge with rear lid - 1 - up - arrow a -.
By moving the hinge, side flaps - 5 - are opened - arrow b - by the cable - 4 -.
Hydraulic cylinder - 3 - moves main hinge - 2 - with entire roof for storage in luggage compartment - arrow a -.
When roof - 1 - is in last third of the opening sequence - arrow a -, the roof pillars are tilted to the side while being controlled by a slotted guide rail - arrow b -.
Hydraulic cylinder - 2 - closes rear lid - 1 - again - arrow a -.
By moving the hinge, side flaps - 5 - are closed - arrow b - by the cable - 4 -.
The hydraulic cylinder - 5 - in the mounting carrier moves all 4 locking mechanisms. The locking mechanisms - 4 and 6 - on the mounting carrier to the side panel are locked. The locking mechanism - 7 - on the mounting carrier to the lower rear window frame closes. The locking mechanism - 3 - on the mounting carrier to the rear lid opens.
The rear lid lock - 2 - closes and the closing aid moves downward.
The cover flaps - 1 - are closed - arrow -.
This completes the CSC roof movement sequence.
If convertible top operating switch is still held, all 4 windows go back up.
