Rear Lid Assistant (HDA) Electronic Roof Control Functions

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system (VAS5051B)

The following electronic roof control functions can be checked:

• Code the Convertible top control module (J256)

• Sunroof motor basic setting

• Open the convertible top in the case of system malfunction

• Emergency closing

• Query the convertible top cycle

- Connect the (VAS5051B). Refer to=> [ Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems ] Testing and Inspection.

- On the (VAS5051B) , select "Guided Fault Finding".

- Using the "Go to" button, select the "function/component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Body repair procedures

• Electronic roof control

• Electronic roof control functions

- Select function.
