Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks

- Start the engine and let it run in idle.

- Seal the end of the exhaust pipe temporarily, for example with a cloth.

- Have a second technician listen at the connections between the cylinder head/exhaust manifold and exhaust manifold/front exhaust pipe for leaks.

- Repair any detected leaks.
