Passenger Compartment Component Location Overview, Climatronic

Disconnect the battery before removing components marked with a **.

A data plate indicates the refrigerant used and capacity.






1 Dash Panel **

2 Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107) or Sunlight Photo Sensor 2 (G134)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

The sunlight photo sensor controls the temperature door and the fresh air blower based on the intensity of the light.

Emergency running in the event of failure: the Climatronic control module (J255) utilizes a fixed value.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sunlight Photo Sensor (G107) or Sunlight Photo Sensor 2 (G134) ] Service and Repair.

3 Center Vent

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Center Vent ] Center Vent.

4 Right Side Vent

5 Air Outlet

6 Right Vent Temperature Sensor (G151)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

7 Climatronic Control Module (J255)

The Climatronic Control Module (J255) and the A/C Control Head (E87) are one component that cannot be disassembled.

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Display and Control Unit, Climatronic ] Display and Control Unit, Climatronic.

Replacing: the basic setting and an adaption "A/C compressor first start" must occur in the Guided Fault Finding or in Guided Functions using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

8 Fresh Air/Recirculating Air/Back Pressure Door Motor (V425)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

Replacing: initiate the basic setting using the vehicle diagnostic tester.

9 Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent

10 Fresh Air Blower (V2) with Fresh Air Blower Control Module (J126)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

17 Evaporator Temperature Sensor (G308) or Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263)

One or both of the component designations will appear, depending on software. The tasks are the same.

18 Right Temperature Door Motor (V159)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

Replacing: initiate basic setting using the vehicle diagnostic tester.

24 Footwell Outlet Temperature Sensor (G261)

25 Defroster Door Motor (V107)

Checking: use the vehicle diagnostic tester

Replacing: initiate basic setting using the vehicle diagnostic tester.
